Are Your packages the same as modular homes?

ANSWER:  No. Modular homes are manufactured in major sections and set onto the buildign site and offered in specific models. First Colony Homes manufactures framing packages that are made up of individual framing components which allow complete design flexibility. Once a package is assembled on your site, the plumbing, electrical, drywall, siding and other finishing touches are added by the contractors of your choice. You get the maximum customization options this way.

What is included in a First Colony Homes package?

ANSWER:  Our complete packages include everything you need to frame your house. It will be ready for your mechanical contractors. (See our standard specifications)

I already have my own house plans. Can you work with them?

ANSWER:  Yes we can take your plans and build the package just for you. Our design department can even modify the plans for you, create a set of plans from your ideas, then build a package for you.

ANSWER:  Our own fleet of trucks will make delivery directly to your site, according to your schedule.

What areas do you service?

ANSWER:  Our primary service area for home packages is a 300-mile radius around Calverton, Virginia. That’s roughly the entire mid-Atlantic region (VA, MD, NC, WV, DE, PA, NJ).

Does First Colony Homes offer any type of financing?

ANSWER:  We do not offer financing, but we will work closely with your construction loan officer at the bank of your choice.

How do I get the process started?

ANSWER:  Just contact our sales department. We’ll either look over your plans or sketches and give you a free quote, or put you in touch with our designers, who can take your project from a dream to design to package quote.
